'Australian universities should teach in foreign languages'
Story 1

This news was discussed by Chinese-speaking communities online. Interestingly, reactions differed between those based in Australia and those in mainland China.

Former Vice Chancellor calls for Australian universities to teach classes in foreign languages.

Chinese-speaking international students in Australia have heavily criticised the suggestion, arguing it would erode the prestige of Australian degrees in mainland China.

"Since we’re continuously called bad, let's keep it that way"..

Conversely, prospective students in mainland China have expressed interest in studying in Australian universities, but learning in Chinese.
