Foodland is located right off the square in downtown Blairsville, Georgia.

Foodland is famous for many things, including having a butcher shop that puts out the best meat in town.

These guys keep a good selection of meat in the coolers and will also cut to order. Craving a country ham? They have those, too!

Although equipment has been modernized, the atmosphere of Foodland is the same as it was when I first shopped there in the 1970's.

The Foodland ladies always make shoppers feel welcome. This place really is a Blairsville landmark.

That's Wayne Abercrombie on the left and his son Ricky on the right. A few years back, Wayne passed and left everything in Ricky's capable hands. Ricky has been blessed with some great employees. Turnover is rare at Foodland and that says something, too.

Lots of really nice people have worked at Foodland through the years. That is what makes the place so special - the people (and the T-bones).

The new generation has a foot in the door, too. This young gentleman has grown up at Foodland and is a great helper.

How many have heard that request through the years? Made fresh daily, famous Foodland coleslaw goes with everything from pot roast to hot dogs.

People also depend on Foodland for boxes! If you need a sturdy box, Foodland is the first place to look. Is that community service or what?
