HOW TO SPOT FAKE RAY-BANS

THE CASE

The case is faux leather. It feels more leathery than plastic and is hard to mark when you scratch it.
There will be a Ray-Ban seal. This is printed and again is hard to mark when you scratch it.

INSIDE

Inside you should receive a Ray-Ban cleaning cloth and leaflet. These should be printed clear and not blurry.
In specific products you will get an icons booklet. This is glossy and should be printed to a high quality.

THE STICKER

The sticker should be central on the right lens.
This is attached by static, not a glue.
This makes it easy to remove and shouldn't leave behind any trace of an adhesive.

THE LOGO

The logo on the right lens is printed and a little textured. This should not be blurry or smooth. This shouldn't come off if lightly scratched.

RB ETCHING

On the far side of the left lens, you will see something that looks like a scratch. It isn't. It is an etching into the lens of the letters RB.
This is a really good indication of authenticity.

THE ARMS

Most Ray-Ban have a logo on both arms. The Wayfarer's are raised and hard to pull off with little force.
On the inside of the left arm you will see the code for the product.

RIGHT ARM

On the inside of the right arm there will always be a CE mark.
There will also be the country of manufacture. This is usually Italy but can be China too now.
Sometimes this is Japan too.
