Allah; there is no god but He, the Ever Living, the Sustainer. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. All that is in the heavens belongs to Him and all that is in the earth. Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is in front of them and what is behind them, but they do not comprehend any of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth; looking after them does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Magnificent.
Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: "Allah has not created in the heavens nor in the earth what is more magnificent than Ayat Al-Kursi." Sufyan said: "Because Ayat Al-Kursi is the Speech of Allah, and Allah's Speech is greater than Allah's creation of the heavens and the earth." Tirmidhi 2884 Narrated Abu Hurairah: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "For everything there is a hump (pinnacle) and the hump (pinnacle) of the Qur'an is Surat Al-Baqarah, in it there is an Ayah which is the master of the Ayat in the Qur'an; [it is] Ayat Al-Kursi."
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: The Prophet (ﷺ) said to his companions, "Is it difficult for any of you to recite one third of the Qur'an in one night?" This suggestion was difficult for them so they said, "Who among us has the power to do so, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" Allah Apostle replied: " Allah (the) One, the Self-Sufficient Master Whom all creatures need.' (Surat Al-Ikhlas 112.1--to the End) is equal to one third of the Qur'an."
