PARIS FASHION WEEK S/S2020 RECAP

29 September 2019

HERE'S WHAT YOU MIGHT'VE MISSED

LANVIN

In a lush catwalk garden, Lanvin's co-ed line-up fronted pleated ensembles, relaxed silhouettes, short dresses and a coveted range of achingly cool accessories, as a celebrity-filled FROW took shelter under see-through umbrellas.

CHLOÉ

At PFW, Natacha Ramsay-Levi returned to two of Chloé's design pillars – think soft tailoring and a bohemian aesthetic. The S/S2020 collection resulted in a very wearable range with the iconic Chloé blouse, pinstripe pants, short suits, pleated culottes and flowy dresses.

BALMAIN

Balmain channelled the '90s at PFW with an infectious collection that boasted colour, volume and nostalgia. Whilst Britney Spears’ ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ blasted on the soundtrack, Barbie pink hues, graphic prints, polka dot tuxedo jackets and voluminous silhouettes billowed down the runway. Also, the runway debuted Balmain's latest makeup collaboration with Kylie Cosmetics.

CELINE

Ex-Saint Laurent designer, Hedi Slimane, paid tribute to the '70s with a collection that had his signature rock’n’roll aesthetic all over it. The runway was dominated with a very realistic way of dressing with button-down denim midi skirts, culottes, midi dresses and little military jackets with gold brocade and frogging. Our favourite look? A double-breasted jacket, over a shirt tucked into flared jeans, complete with a leather handbag worn over the shoulder – simple and sophisticated.
